Ingredients:
Beef -1 pound(cut into small cubes)
Ginger -1/2 piece chopped
Green chillies -2
Potato -1(cut into small cubes)
Curry leaves -2 strings
Oil -2 tbsp
Salt to taste
For grinding:
Onion -2
Ginger -1 piece
Garlic -10 pods
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Fennel powder -1/2 tsp
pepper powder -1tsp
Chilli powder -1tsp
Coriander powder -1tbsp
Cinammon -1 stick
Cardamom - 2
Cloves -2
Method:
Grind all the ingredients and keep aside.In a heavy bottom vessel,heat oil and add slitted green chillies,curry leaves,ginger chopped and saute for a minute.Add the grindings to this and saute till the raw smell goes.Now add beef together with 1 cup water and salt.When the beef is half cooked,add the potato cubes and cook till the gravy becomes thick.This is a good combination with coconut rice.
