Butter chicken



Ingredients:

Chicken              - 1/2 kg (cut into smallpieces)
Onion                 - 1 big sliced
Cashews            -  6
Tomato               - 1 big
Tomato sauce     - 1 tbsp
Ginger paste       - 1 tsp
Garlic paste        - 1 tsp
Butter                  - 50gm
Chilli powder     - 2 tsp(I used Kasmiri chilli)
Coriander pdr     -1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric  pdr      -1/4 tsp
Cinnamon stick   - 1  bigstick
Cloves                - 3
Cardamom          - 4
Dry methi leaves -3/4 tsp(powdered)
Fresh cream        -2 tbsp
Oil                       -1 tsp
Salt as required

Method:
Cook chicken with enough salt,turmeric power and one cup of water .Separate chicken pieces from the stock and keep both aside.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and saute the onion slices.Remove it from fire and allow it to cool.By this time boil some water and put the tomato in it.Keep it in water for 5min and peel the skin away.Now grind together sauted onion,cashews and peeled tomato into a fine paste.
Heat a thick bottom vessel.Melt butter and fry the chicken pieces in it.When it is half done, add cinnamon stick,cardamom,cloves and ginger- garlic paste.Saute it.To this add all the powders and saute again.Now add the ground onion-tomato paste and the chicken stock we prepared earlier.Cook well until the butter separates.Tranfer to a serving bowl.Add fresh cream and dry methi  and mix.Serve hot with roti,rice......
